The HORADAM starter box from Schmincke consists of a stable metal box (12.8 x 7.2 x 2.3 cm) with 12 coloristically selected half-pan (1.5 x 2 cm) colors, an integrated mixing palette, and a daVinci watercolor brush for direct painting. The well-balanced color selection allows for easily mixing many other brilliant colors.

The colors included in the starter box are 215 lemon yellow, 224 cadmium yellow light, 349 cadmium red light, 353 permanent carmine, 494 ultramarine fine, 492 Prussian blue, 519 phthalo green, 534 permanent green olive, 655 light ochre, 649 English Venetian red, 663 sepia brown, and 780 ivory black.
